Celia Cervero

I am happy to tell you that I am a member of the Spanish Film Academy and of CIMA. I adore this guild. I have worked with people who are important to me because of their perspectives, such as Gonzalo Suárez, Chiqui Carabante and Iván Aledo.

I was an editor in various documentaries and feature films that had their tour of national and international festivals. I also taught at the E.C.A. film school, ruled by the playwriter Cristina Rota. Work that I combined with another editing, script and direction jobs. Two of those documentaries were shot in Niger and Haiti. Indelible experiences that marked a turning point.

In 2011 I decided to return to my land, Asturias. Since then, I have been working to bring cinema closer to the classroom and to people in general, offering a tool, cinema, as a vehicle to foster community and memory through the Educa y cine project. I recently finished the webdoc project "Vidas Compartidas" for the Faustino Sobrino Foundation, the documentary "Somos Capaces" produced by Fundación Telefónica and the Docllanes program. I am also part of the MusocMocedá as a trainer and I am immersed in the direction of the documentary film "Elisa G. Benavides: la Naturaleza".
